Who Are We?

Ms. Lois Stacks had a passion for controlling the unwanted pet population in Lake County, FL so she generously bequeathed funds to help defray the cost of spaying and neutering cats and dogs belonging to residents of that area. Established in 1995, The Stacks Foundation strives to carry out the desires of Ms. Lois Stacks by providing financial assistance for spay and neuter procedures to residents of Lake County, FL. Please help fulfill Lois Stacks' vision by getting your pet spayed or neutered! Thank you!

Mrs. Sandi White, President

Sandi was a founding Board member of the Stacks Foundation and has served on the Board of Directors since the Foundation’s inception. She is Assistant Manager at a cardiology practice in Mt. Dora, FL and has a heart for helping animals. For over 40 years, Sandi has been engaged in rescue and rehabilitation for horses, donkeys, cats, and dogs, and continues to serve this calling through service to The Stacks Foundation.

Dr. Sarah White-Springer, Vice President

Sarah is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M and has donated her time to The Stacks Foundation since 2011. Raised by her mother, Sandi, she inherited a strong love for animals and a passion for helping others. She currently owns an Arabian gelding, Marti, and two Parti Yorkies, Bear and Isabela.

How do we help?

The Stacks Foundation is not a veterinary clinic and does not perform any surgeries. Rather, we provide rebates to residents of Lake County, FL to help offset the cost of spay and neuter procedures. Click below to learn more about the steps to receive a rebate!

  • Any resident of Lake County, FL is eligible for a rebate from The Stacks Foundation, Inc. Rebates are intended to help those on a limited income with the greatest need. If your annual household income is over $75,000, we encourage you to refrain from applying for a rebate to save the funds for those less fortunate families.

  • You may take your pet to any veterinarian of your choosing! A list of veterinarians that have previously supported The Stacks Foundation can be found on the “List of Veterinarians” page.

  • Compile all of the required documents and complete the rebate application! All information can be found on the “How to Apply” page.
